Schmutz Happens & SRX
Tonight I got to watch “Seder Everything” - the newest episode of Gossip Girl and my personal highlight came right a
round the beginning when Cyrus is preparing food for the Sedar in his totally fabulous apron that says “Schmutz happens” I love Cyrus and I think he is the coolest Stepdad and that he should have way more screentime. Him standing there with that Apron made my day. And I apparently wasn’t the only one thinking that way. Anyway the apron got me really excited considering that I spend most of my hours in the kitchen and I googled it trying to order it somewhere online. I then discovered that there were already several posts and reviews about this episode named “Schmutz happens”. And I thought I was being original. BTW I found this awesome GG website. There’s so much information on there that I know exactly what I’ll be reading tomorrow at work.
Well.. back to the episode apart from Cyrus I was also very much attracted to Gabriel who supposedly broke up with Poppy while they and Serena were in Spain and then in the spur of the moment got married to Serena when Poppy had left. Now that they’re all back in NY Gabriel then came for Serena who was attending the Seder and confronted her about why she had left him so suddenly. Dan who was trying to earn the money for his Yale tuition was catering at the Waldorf residence naturally was all in the middle of this. Long story short. Rufus found out what Dan was doing, sold a painting and decided to sell the Gallery since he doesn’t want to work there anymore - I guess this takes care of Dan’s tuition problem. Serena after having denied that there was anything going on with Gabriel in front of her mother eventually started to get real feelings for Gabriel (He is definately hotter than Dan) who later met up with Poppy again…let’s see where this will be going next week.
Blair broke up with Nate and made up with him at the end of the episode. It all had to do with his Grandfather being responsible for his father’s arrest and Blair wanting to be a bridesmaid etc.Is it just me or is anybody else missing Chuck and Blair? It was funny, when Nate mentioned to Blair that he was so proud that he got into Columbia by himself, my first thought was ” yeah right, because Name and background doesn’t play a role to the admissions board at Columbia.” Seems like Em had the same thoughts that I had :-) I agree with her that I was overall very happy to have Gossip Girl back and can’t wait for next week when hopefully Dorota will be back as well!!
One other show I would like to mention was this week’s episode of Brothers & Sisters. S3X (strange title)was in my opinion the best episode of this season and is up there among the best episodes of all seasons so far. I loved the scene where Kevin and Sarah go shopping and he convinces her to buy that eye-catchng dress so that she can seduce some men at work because she is so ready to get back on the horse and find herself a nice man. When they notice Chad across the street they both are so hilariously funny. Kevin getting all confused and Sarah getting all hot for Chad and eating him up in her mind. I was laughing out loud all through this scene especially when Chad came over to them and introduced himself and asked Kevin how he was doing and he answered “I’m married”. So funny”
Sarah was incredibly hilarious at the Ojai Office. She saw Cal the accountant and knew exactly what she wanted and went for it. I loved her messed up hair when she stood at Kevin and Scotty’s door eager to report her office sex to to her brother. Kevin was dealing with his own share of sexual drama. Chad had suggested that Kevin and Scotty and him go out for drinks and since Scotty turned out to be a fan of Chad’s “work” he was all for the idea and surprised Kevin with his enthusiasm. During drinks the conversation somehow turned into an interesting direction where Chad invited the married couple home to play. I think they went home to him but I’m not sure. When they got back home they somehow had a three-way with Chad on their mind. That whole scene was awfully funny especially when Sarah turned up at their doorstep.
Nora trying to take her mind off of Tommy and his return was replanting and rearranging her garden all through the night. She was wearing this lamp around her head which looked just so funny. My mom bought me one which she wanted me to wear when running in the dark but up till now I’ve been too embarassed to wear it because it looks so stupid. Anyway Richard shows up and informs Nora that he divorced his wife and loves her and wants to be with her. They decide to give their relationship another shot. Them being together was so romantic and Nora being all happy the next day when sharing the news with Kitty was so cute that I really hope that nothing gets in between those two and that she gets to have her new romance at last. Especially now that Tommy seems to not be coming back for the time being.
While Rebecca and Ryan seem to get closer and are apparently now roomies Kitty and Robert are distancing themselves from each other. While Robert has acknowledged that something’s wrong (Kitty doesn’t want to have sex and he does) Kitty isn’t ready to talk and is still avoiding confrontation.
There was so much in this episode that I haven’t mentioned but if I were to mention all the great scenes I could just post a script of the entire episode in this blog since all 42 minutes were excellent. This is a great review that’s more detailed than mine. I love this show and the acters and can’t wait for next week.
I just found this great video on youtube. I wanted to write something about the second season of Damages this week. I’ve been wondering what the name of the song was that is played during the opening credits. It is called “When I am through with you” and the band is VLA. This song is absolutely awesome!!!

Glad you loved my Shmutz Happends Apron.. I designed it several years ago and sell it exclusively on my website www.traditionsjewishgifts.com. I was very excited when the costume department ordered one for the show!
