Brothers & Sisters in da House
I’m back… again and hopeful.
During the last 2 weeks I have watched around 60 episodes House M.D. and will finish the third season by this week probably even tonight. I know I’m crazy and I should’ve watched them slower so that I co
uld spend more summer hiatus time with them but while I’m very disciplined in every other area of my life I’m hopeless when it comes to shows I like. The good thing is that I have finally found two shows that will be a regular on my weekly schedule beginning in Fall. The first one obviously is House. I never watched it until this summer and I understand completely why it has the same amount of viewers Greys has. I don’t understand why some people compare the two shows. In my opinion they have nothing in common apart from playing in a Hospital. After 60 episodes of House I feel like a doctor myself although I must say that the deseases mentioned start to repeat themselves after a while. I even looked up “Lupus” recently since House and his team bring it up quite a lot but the funny thing is - it actually never is Lupus. But at least I now know that it is an auto-imune desease. The show is perfect and although I swore never to watch a show airing on Fox again I will continue to watch House as well as 24 and will nevertheless hate Fox for cancelling The O.C. Yes - I know I am evil.
The next show I discovered is Brothers and Sisters airing on ABC. It’s about a family named Walker who operates a family business in L.A. 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Everything changes when the father dies of a heart attack and Kitty played by Calista Flockhart moves back in with her mother in Los Angeles. As time passes more and more secrets the father has kept over the years are being revealed. One of the them is his long time affair Holly Harper and their eligitimate daughter Rebecca Harper. This show is so perfect to watch. It manages to fill part of the void 7th Heaven and Gilmore Girls left when they were cancelled. Some scenes are so hilarious that it makes you want to be there with the characters.B&S makes you feel comfortable instantly and you can keep on watching it. I haven’t been there but I guess watching the reruns won’t be that bad either. Normally I try to avoid watching shows until they have at least reached their third season but due to the fact that I am both desperate and that this is an ABC show I am fairly relaxed and confident that we will see some more seasons of this show.
Oh by the way, I still can’t believe Veronica Mars is supposed to be over but I will attend to this subject extensively in my next post. In the meantime this should be fun.
Later More…
