Oh the Drama (Part 1)
After an overwhelming second episode of the Greys Anatomy three parter followed by the second last earthquake aftermath episode of the O.C. I was exhausted. I had to eat lemon sorbet and cool down. A few hours later the impressions have formed in my head and are ready to be released.
To “Drowning on Dry Land:” I must say that this episode was one of the best episodes so far. And I’m not alone with my opinion. But on to this dumb dumb and somewhat creepy girl! (they didn`t name her) How could she just return to the center of the accident site and not mention to anyone that the docter who was just taking care of her had been kicked into the ocean. I know she`s in shock and everything but come on! I wouldn`t have been so patient with her the way Derek was when he tried to figure out where Mer was.
Oh yes - Meredith is dead for now and chatting with Izzy`s fiancee. She looked pretty blue- blue like the color. But I do not think that she will stay dead since they would have to rename the show because otherwise it would be called: “…Anatomy” Am I right?! I had the waterworks going on all through the epi and when all the interns were paged and Derek sat outside of the OR I was heartbroken and sobbing so loud my neighbor was probably wondering what the heck had happened to me. The expressions on the faces of the interns as well as the residents and the Chief were unforgettable.
Izzy was spectacular and she is so going to chose Neurosurgery as her speciality. Nevertheless I thought that her speech outside of the OR was slightly over the top and her remark about the butter as funny as it was in the previous epi was totally out of place in this situation as was her telling George that it was a mistake to marry Callie.
Alex and Mc Steamy were incredibly hot again. They have so much more potential. I loved how McSteamy sat down next to Derek who was not so much “the knight in shiny whatever…” as he had promised he`d be. Alex sensing Addison`s loneliness was so cute when he told her that he would notice should she disappear.
And then finally I pondered about what some people have said about Greys turning into an imitation of E.R. using ultra catastrophic events in order to achieve greatness. I think with these brilliant and outstanding characters and writers this show doesn`t have to fear anything except more and more viewers
More to The O.C. in a little bit.

These last two episodes were stand-out brilliant on a show that has been consistantly brilliant. I cannot - do not want to believe that Mer is dead. Until next Thursday, I am believing that she will return from a near death experience. But the flat line? She’ll come back & tell Izzie she saw Denny and he is fine and loves that his $$ built a clinic. How will it be Grey’s without Mer. Comparing ER to Grey’s is like comparing Jerry Springer to Dan Rather. BTW, Izzie’s speech was way too long, and way out of place. I kept thinking “stop talking”, why isn’t someone saying, “stop talking”. But I still love Izzie.
