Valentines Day
I was just thinking about Valentines Day and that I do not like this day at all. This might sound bitter but I’ve always hated it even in Junior High School and it didn’t have anything to do with me being single or being in a relationship. It’s just a stupid Holiday.
When you’re in a relationship you feel pressured into doing something special with your partner although you shouldn’t need a specific day for that and if you’re single (happily single and not looking) this holiday makes you feel like someone should at least be giving you some chocolate even if its just your brother and even if you don’t like chocolate because if they don’t it means they don’t care about you which isn’t true. I simply think that holidays which subtly pressure you into doing or not doing something even if it’s just to eat chocolate are absolutely unnecessary. I for myself can say that I always want presents single or attached and not just on V-day.
Oh and thanks to Google I’ve been having this craving for chocolate covered strawberries all day. It started with the strawberries and by afternoon I had strategically gone over all eatables that might be tasteful when covered in chocolate or when deep-fried for that matter. Yes, this is where my mind goes when work bores me.
Anyway I’m very much looking forward to my date with Veronica Mars and the Gilmores tonight. We will be having pasta and wine…..
